Hot-Dip Galvanized Earth Rod

Hot-dip galvanized earth rod is manufactured via the hot-dip galvanizing process, which forms a dense and uniform zinc coating on the steel surface. It greatly enhances corrosion resistance while ensuring good conductivity and cost-effectiveness. It is widely used in grounding systems for power, construction and energy industries.

⊙ Key Features
  1. 1.Good corrosion resistance: Dual protection mechanism, the outer pure zinc layer provides a physical barrier, and the inner iron-zinc alloy layer is metallurgically bonded with the substrate to enhance adhesion. The standard electrode potential of zinc is lower than that of iron and can be preferentially corroded to protect the steel substrate.
2.Reliable electrical conductivity: The hot-dip galvanized earth rod features stable overall conductivity and low contact resistance.
3.Cost-effectiveness: Compared with pure copper grounding rods or stainless steel grounding materials, the raw material and processing costs of hot-dip galvanized grounding rods are significantly reduced, and they have outstanding economic advantages in large-scale engineering projects.
4.Easy and efficient installation: The product is highly standardized, and the supporting connectors, drive heads, drill bits and other accessories are complete. It can be quickly cut, connected or extended according to site needs. The installation process is simple and can be operated without special training.
5.Good environmental adaptability: The zinc coating is stable in moist, dry, neutral or weakly alkaline soil. Even if there are slight scratches on the coating, the sacrificial anodic protection effect of zinc can still protect the exposed steel substrate.

Application Scenarios

  1. 1.Communication & Radio and Television Base Station Grounding: Lightning protection grounding and working grounding for communication base stations, radar stations and radio & television transmission towers place high requirements on material strength, while also taking project budget into consideration.
2.Grounding of buildings and civil facilities: There is a huge demand for lightning protection grounding, working grounding and equipotential bonding in residential communities, schools, hospitals, shopping malls and other civil buildings.
3.General Industrial Grounding: Applicable to equipment and electrostatic discharge grounding for small factories, warehouses and workshops, where long-term exposure to highly corrosive media is not required.
4.Temporary and mobile grounding: Serves for grounding protection of temporary power use at construction sites, emergency generator sets and mobile communication vehicles, featuring low cost and easy recovery and replacement.
